Counter-espionage and protecting IP
Michel Juneau-Katsuya will address the considerable threat that corporate espionage poses to businesses and organizations and the information they must protect. Intellectual property, customer data and R&D are all potential targets for agents who are looking for financial reward, competitive advantage or negative exposure/reputation damage for their chosen targets. Juneau-Katsuya will break down the different forms of espionage and how they are perpetrated, including corporate-sanctioned or state-sponsored cyber attacks, organized crime and insider threats.

Speaker: Michel Juneau-Katsuya is the CEO of the Northgate Group, an Ottawa-based provider of education, conferences, training and consulting, helping companies protect themselves from corporate espionage. Michel has almost 40 years of direct experience and is internationally recognized as an expert on international and national security, and economic and industrial espionage. Michel’s background includes careers with both the RCMP and CSIS. An in-demand speaker and commentator, his expertise in Threat Risk Assessment is sought all over the world.
